Changes in Bitwig Studio 6.1.1 [released 03 September 2026]
Improvements
- Added mappable actions for Zoom In Arranger Lane Heights (Selection) and Zoom Out Arranger Lane Heights (Selection), to zoom only the selected lanes/tracks
Fixes
- Sampler device/Grid module fixes:
Spectral mode + Freeze Playhead now sounds nicer at note on [7166]
Fragments mode: Grid module no longer places grains differently than the device [7237]
- Spectral Quality / Cost setting is now saved, reloaded properly [7161]
- Rapidly repeating notes are no longer silent [7144]
- Grid module now properly imports all parameter values from old projects/presets [7150]
- Undo action is better at grouping actions (instead of skipping back too many steps, in some cases) [7162]
- Remote controls and modulations mapped to parameters that used to be available (such as Play Mode, Envelope Mode, Freeze Playhead) are now properly removed
- Arpeggiator (Note FX) device: Is no longer out-of-sync after duplicating tracks with the transport stopped [6889]
- Pressing transport stop twice returns to bar 1, beat 1 in all cases (a regression) [6482]
- Select All action in the Launcher works more reliably when group tracks are present [7143]
- [SHIFT]-clicking a range of Launcher clips selects them more reliably when group tracks are present [7143]
- Play from Left Edge of Current Editor action jumps to the right position in all cases now [7125]
- Moving an Arranger time selection now moves any included cue markers (instead of copying them) [7015]
- Zooming a selected automation lane's height is now more reliable (not changing the track height as well) [7240]
- Certain large projects no longer crash on open, as well as other memory management improvements
- Fixed a crash when deleting an automation lane while it is shown [5951]
- Windows and macOS: The DSP meter now flashes red when the device reports an overload
- Windows with ASIO: Audio interface is no longer closed with "Device is no longer responding", etc., when the CPU cannot keep up in real time [7177]
- macOS: Support for M5, M6 "performance" cores (as allocated by macOS)
- macOS: Audio engine no longer crashes at startup when the MIDI system could not be initialized (it now starts without MIDI and shows a notification) [5778]
- A very, very large number of installed fonts no longer causes problems, like browser freezes [7139]
